Standing on the southern edge of Exmoor National Park, Dulverton is an old market town beside the river Barle. The town is a pretty mixture of stone cottages and excellent restaurants and shops all within a three minute walk of Town Mills.
Within the town there are three churches – Anglican, Catholic and Congregational.

May and June Point to point at Bratton Down http://www.pointtopoint.co.uk/go/courses/bratton_down.html Enjoy a fun day out with the family at a course that is 1000 feet above sea level, overlooking Exmoor itself – pony racing and point to point horse racing.
Only the very tough take part in Ironman events and one of the toughest is held just a few miles from Dulverton at Wimbleball Lake www.swlakestrust.org.uk/lakes-and-facilities/the-lakes/wimbleball-lake where, on other dates, you can also enjoy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing and angling. Walkers and cyclists are also catered for.

Focusing mainly on Chamber Music, the festival offers thirty concerts in October both in Dulverton and the surrounding towns.

The skies above Dulverton are particularly clear and one Sunday in December the town welcomes visitors to enjoy an afternoon of magic. The shops are all decorated for Christmas, there is music and dancing in the street, lots of drink and food on offer and a fabulous fireworks display at the end of the evening, and, if we are really luckily more music to dance to after that!
